I've been using the native interface for a few months now and really like it. It is the most performant mobile browser I've yet used (others being ios, stock android ics, chrome and opera).
Areas of improvement include: making it easier to close tabs (the tiny X on the side of the screen are REALLYA hard to use;in order to close tabs I have to make a very deliberate effort to touch only the X and not the rest of the tab--as part of ics, you should get rid of the X and use the swipe motion to get rid of tabs) and basic gestures for moving forward, back and tab switch.
Awesome job, Moz!

I've been using Aurora as my main browser on my phone for the past cuple of months, and it is looking really good! A few things:

* It runs really, really badly on my older 2.x phone, while it flies on Android 4. You may want to be a bit more restrictive on what phones you allow it to install on, or some people are going to come away with a very negative impression of it.

* I love how I can just pick a colmn and fill the screen with that. But text doesn't reflow with manual zoom. Some sites are simply unreadable, as the column width makes the characters too small to read for my (middle-aged) eyes.

* There is no way to close the last tab and return to the main screen.

* There is no way that I've found to switch directly to the previous/next tab.

* Gestures! They make a lot of sense for phones.

@Thomas, Thanks! As far as I know, there's no direct apk for the Beta build. If you really want an apk, I suggest you to install Aurora which is where the Beta code is landing anyway: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/aurora/

Looking good! However, when searching for "Firefox beta" (or even entering "org.mozilla.firefox_beta") in the Play Store app, I can't find it (using Android 4.0.4 via Nitdroid on a N950). The "stable" Firefox version ("org.mozilla.firefox") can be found via the Play Store and also works well on the N950.

Is there an .apk for the beta available somewhere to avoid going through the Play Store? All links that I could find point to the Google Play Firefox beta website.

Great work.

My only complaint is that the "Press image for details" toast is a little annoying and repetitive. Maybe just once, as a dialog that gets dismissed and never shown again?

@tonathiuh, Thanks for the feedback. I have explicitly disabled support for large and xlarge screens in the first beta. This is probably why you're getting that. I'll re-enable it just so people can try the app but be aware that it won't work very well (i.e. it will look too wide, or something) as I haven't done any work on the tablet-optimized UI just yet. I'll upload a new update very soon.
